Mood broads

My mood boards shown above showcase my ideas and what I want to capture. My main idea is to create a comparison between with the city landscape and the nature landscape. I will do this by using colour, buildings in the location, people interacting with the places and the overall look. When photographing the city I will mainly be capturing buildings and people in the environment.  As seen in the images shown above the buildings in the city are not lacking of colour however  they are neutral and pastel colours used more for the buildings, so when people are in front of the buildings they stand out which will be a key feature in my images. This is slightly different in the rural / nature landscape as the landscape is vibrant exploding with colour as it has many elements that add to the colour, such as flowers and natural found objects. Hopefully my images will show the difference between the environments and the people in them. Colours in the images will differ as in the nature landscape there will be more green and natural colours and the city uses more neutral and plain colours on the majority of the buildings. As I included pictures of animals and people I will use both for my photos in both places I will use. I may use the same layout for the mood board with the images of the city and nature places , I like how they lead into each other and fill up the a good amount of the page, also the centre images have a mix of elements from each environment.

Proposal

1- Theme
I have two potential themes which are either humans/ fantasy or pets / document style. Both themes/ genres will allow me to create stylised and creative images. These genres will also allow me to mix other genres and other styles used in photography, I will do this in every photo shoot. This will help me achieve successful and artistic photos.

2- The main idea
My main adjective is to create stunning pieces of work to add to portfolio and represent myself which attracts people attention. In nearly each each photograph I will include an element to do with the theme. At the end of the project I hope to have a body of work which reflects my ability, creative vision, ideas and intentions. When completed I will present my work the images in a pop art style while still being professional way.

3- Ideas
My main idea is to create a document / stylised set of images with interesting main elements and features. My idea for my photo shoots is to include as much colour and create aspects to produce images that I want too.

4- Target audience
My main audience is people who appreciate art and people who have an artistic eye. However hopefully my photographs will appeal to a wide range of people as I want all my work to accomplish this. To achieve this I will create the best images possible with different art styles to appeal to many people, gaining a wide audience for my work.

5- intended tech to use
I will use different techniques to capture the images with both digital and film. I will mostly use digital more as its a form / photography type I like the most. This is because this is the easiest to work with. I will also use different formats and ways when photographing.

6- evaluation
I believe my ideas and methods will help me gain the type of images I want to. I will be able to apply the techniques in every photo shoot I do, the themes and genres will make my work become the artistic stylized images I want.

2nd Proposal

1.Theme
My second theme is comparing nature to cities /industrial. This will allow me to showcase the differences between the two places. Using this theme will allow me to create colorful and documentary styled images.  I picked the theme of comparison as I wanted to capture this on personal level with my photography as it's something I've always wanted to do.

2. The main idea
I want to create images that include the location and interesting aspects of the two places. In most of the images I will hopefully include nature to make the comparisons and to see how wildlife fits into the both locations.  When I've collected and finalized my images the way I will present them is either by mounted on card or in a picture frame.

3. Ideas
I want to create a set of images that let audiences see the differences and similarity between the places.  Nearly all images will be taken in Landscape format to frame the places I capture. Another idea I want to incorporate into my photographs. Hopefully I will be able to capture images which includes different aspects from the different environments that surround me as a photographer.

4. Target Audience
With my work I am targeting people who like to view landscapes and compare places.  My work will mostly appeal to the general public as most people like interesting and well documented landscapes. This makes me vary the techniques and styles I use when take my images.

5. Intended tech
I will mix between digital and film to achieve the best images and also create a range of work to choose from. Both ways will allow me to present my images in a printed format.Using both colour and black and white film allowed me to pick from a range of work however I didn't shoot as much in black and white as I want to include colour in my images.

6. Evaluation
I believe this idea will result in interesting images which will show the differences in locations that many people either live, work or explore. I will execute this idea in place I know and use as I will photograph from the perspective of a person who live here ( Bradford/Leeds) and from the view of a tourist ( York.)  When the project is finished my original thoughts about how the locations are being used are probably right.
